Preparation

Posted by devlibrarian on August 4, 2006

I leave in two weeks for Guatemala, and I’m packing things up, making those hard decisions like – how many shoes are too many? For those in Seattle who are about to travel, I want to give a big rave to Second Ascent, where you can find cheap backpacks, and other gear.

I’m also looking for an apartment in Antigua. If anyone has any tips, please let me know. I have found three websites that offer pictures of Antigua apartments.

I’ve been reading as much as I can before I leave on Guatemala, literacy, etc. but my inclination toward total couch potato have thrawted me. I’m about to pick up a copy of Bitter Fruit: The Story of the American Coup in Guatemala.

This site will be a lot more interesting when I have actually arrived.
